Counselling Support

for Birth Anxiety

Feel more prepared and confident as you approach birth.

It is normal to feel anxious about birth.

Maybe this is your first time and you do not know what to expect.
Or, maybe you have given birth before and it did not go the way you hoped.

You are not alone in your worries.

Many people carry these questions as birth approaches…

How painful will it be?

Will I cope?

Will my baby and I be OK?

What if things don’t go as planned?

These questions make sense.

Birth is unpredictable and not knowing what to expect can feel unsettling.

Counselling for birth anxiety is not just about reassurance.

It is about understanding what is happening in your body and nervous system, making sense of your fears, and having practical tools you can actually use.

This work is grounded in evidence, and from a human who understands this stuff inside and out!

I’m a counsellor who’s also a prenatal educator!

I’ve also had the honour of attending many births in my previous work as a birth doula.

I’m passionate about offering evidence-based information and reasuring guidence to my clients.

And…I have been through birth myself (twice).

You will leave with a clearer understanding of your fears, practical tools to work with them, and more confidence in how you’ll cope when birth begins.

Not because birth becomes predictable, but because fear has less control.

When fear is reduced, we often feel more steady, more prepared, and better able to meet whatever unfolds.

Support around birth anxiety needs to be both nurturing and useful.

Counselling with me is not about endlessly talking in circles.

It is about understanding your fear, learning how to work with it, and feeling more prepared as you move toward birth.

You do not have to commit to long-term therapy to get meaningful support before birth.

For many people, a few focused sessions are enough to feel more grounded and supported.

This can be one simple way to prepare emotionally for birth, alongside the other practical steps you are already taking

Many people who choose this support want someone experienced in their back pocket as they step into this next chapter.

If that sounds like you, you are in the right place.

I can’t thank you enough for your guidance and advice in helping me prepare for and feel more confident in the whole birthing journey.
