Whether you're navigating relationship issues, transitioning through life changes, or grappling with anxiety, you do not have to do it alone. Counselling helps us to understand our own desires, past experiences, and vulnerabilities, this is what lays the groundwork for meaningful connection with others. Counselling is a courageous journey with a companion who holds the flashlight.
I am a Registered Therapeutic Counsellor in good standing with ACCT. I believe a counsellor must have done the work themselves to be effective. My own life experiences have given me the opportunity to work through many struggles myself including grief, postpartum anxiety, separation and co-parenting, life transitions and generational trauma. I am constantly learning and moving forward toward greater healing for myself.
I focus on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where you can explore, heal, and grow, using my intuition and presence to guide us. I take a person-centered approach, drawing on different therapeutic modalities which look at how our relationships, both close and distant, past and present shape us.
I am also a fan of using the latest findings from neuroscience as well as tools from art therapy to make our sessions even more effective and enriching.
Some facts about me: I swim in all seasons, hike only when it’s hot, I'm a total geek about relationships, communication tools, human psychology, seaweed and I make really good curry.
